Model UN New York 2026

Be part of the Dutch delegation to the 2026 New York Model UN.

Imagine yourself in the heart of New York City, surrounded by thousands of the brightest and most passionate college and university students from well over 120 countries. Together, you’ve gathered to discuss the most pressing global issues of our time, from climate change to human rights to global security.

A place where you can step into the shoes of a diplomat and use the art of negotiation to learn how to make a difference in the world. The Security Council, the General Assembly, the Economic and Social Council, UNICEF, and the Human Rights Council, are just some of the working groups within which the students will try to negotiate the best solutions to solve the world’s problems. During the trip:

  • Engage in simulated UN committees and draft resolutions on global problems.

  • Network with peers from around the world, debate pressing issues and hone your public speaking, negotiation, team work, writing, leadership, and research skills.

  • Visit The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met) and the Statue of Liberty.

  • Visit the Dutch Permanent Mission to the UN and interact with policy experts.

  • Experience the UN Headquarters (tentative).

Register as a Delegate

Confirm your participation as part of the MUN Nederland delegation to the 2026 New York MUN. No experience is required and everybody is welcome.

Prepare for Your Committee

Research materials including background guides, MUN Nederland delegate preparation guide, and position paper guidelines will be made available.

At the Conference

Closer to the conference you will be provided the exact schedule, program, speakers, and your position papers will be submitted.

Each day of the Model UN conference includes a 1.5 hour lunch break and 30 minute evening break.
